Mostly *MERN* stack (or often PostgreSQL and NestJS). I've worked on microservices architectures with automated CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure deployment, and plenty of AI / LLM service integration. ### Web Developer *March – July 2023* - Design and development of a **microservice system** for an oxygenator production plant, from the general architecture to Raspberry Pi devices on Arch Linux. - Development of cost analysis software and a **Flutter** app to interface with medical devices. ### Software Developer *September 2021 · School Internship* - Internship at the public transport company *SETA S.p.A.*, where I developed the software for **generating audio files** for announcements on buses, currently used **across the entire fleet** in Modena, Reggio Emilia and Piacenza. - Training of a machine learning model for passenger counting using onboard cameras. ### System Administrator *July 2021 · School Internship* - System administrator at *Infolog S.r.l.*, where I worked with the development team to create a web application for **warehouse management**. - Refactored the Microsoft SQL Server database. ## Some of my projects These are just some of the projects I have worked on, many more are on GitHub. ### Web Scraping & LLMs Bachelor's thesis and empirical case study on **LLM**-based information extraction. An LLM pipeline reads unstructured Italian public-transport strike notices and pulls out structured data, such as dates, scope and guaranteed service windows. I ran 1,400+ benchmarks across GPT, Gemini, Llama and DeepSeek with several preprocessing strategies and a resilience test, reaching an *F1-score* above 0.95 on field extraction. - Status: Live - Years: 2025-2026 - Solo project - Built with: NestJS, Prisma + PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, OpenAI SDK, React Native - Thesis: https://amslaurea.unibo.it/id/eprint/39074 ### BambooSIM Live commercial travel-eSIM store. After checkout the backend provisions the data plan automatically against the carrier's **eSIM API** and returns a working profile and QR code in seconds, handling top-ups and plan extensions on the same flow. Multi-gateway payments (card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay) in local currencies, plus a custom CMS for catalogue, orders and customers. - Status: Live - Years: 2024 - Solo project - Built with: NestJS, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud, React, Tailwind, TypeScript - Website: https://bamboosim.com ### Qrami Booking and clinical-workflow platform for an Italian health-tech startup, run as a **SaaS** on **Stripe Connect**. **PostGIS** geofenced matching between patients and doctors, multi-stage escalation with timed fallbacks on **BullMQ**, and Redis locks against concurrent accepts. - Status: Live - Years: 2026 - Solo project - Built with: NestJS, PostgreSQL + PostGIS, BullMQ, Stripe Connect, Digital signature - Website: https://www.qrami.it/ ### IoT Dashboard Industrial dashboard for monitoring and controlling fleets of IoT sensors. Time-series ingestion and querying on **TimescaleDB** hypertables with SQL Continuous Aggregates, keeping dashboards responsive over long time ranges. Eclipse Kapua handles device management and telemetry. - Status: Live - Years: 2024-2026 - Backend, database & AI integration (team of 3) - Built with: NestJS, TimescaleDB, Eclipse Kapua, Docker, Redis ### Janus Double-entry accounting engine for Italian VAT-registered freelancers: invoicing, VAT, payment schedules, cash flow and depreciation. The whole system is driven from a **chat interface**: an LLM layer with function calling and structured output turns plain-language requests into accounting operations, with **RAG** over the user's own documents. - Status: In development - Years: 2025-2026 - Backend, database & AI integration (team of 3) - Built with: NestJS, PostgreSQL, LLM / RAG, React ### VHF e superiori Event platform and social network for an Italian amateur-radio association, in production and open source. It parses uploaded **ADIF/EDI** contact logs, geolocates Maidenhead grid squares and renders QSO maps server-side using Puppeteer. It also generates personalised eQSL cards from templates and batches them into daily digest emails to stay within provider quotas. Members sign up online with a digital signature and check in with a QR code. The tablet POS drives an **ESP32** customer display over Web Serial and sends receipts via Socket.IO to a Python client that prints them on an **ESC/POS** thermal printer.
